I am a realtor in Grand Forks. I first met Kathy when her mom wanted her to purchase a home here. Although that didn't materialize for her, Kathy and I got along famously right from the start.
We had many mutual friends in the law enforcement community.
I loved her spirit, her sense of humor and her straight-forward personality. She called it as she saw it - such a wonderful trait.
Though I didn't see her often, I will miss just knowing she is there.
My deepest sympathies to her family and her co-workers. She can't be replaced.

To the family of Kathy Murray,
We are sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. Sean had the pleasure to work with Kathy in Grafton for over 3 years. During the time that they worked together he had the pleasure to learn a great deal from her professionally. Sean can remember many times that Kathy talked about both her girls and how she loved them. Kathy will be dearly missed.

Each day I meet people who are suffering, who are in pain, and for some life is a real struggle. Kathy and I connected for a brief moment, she was in the early stages of treatment and shared her story with me.
My heart wept for her. I was struck be her positive attitude and knew she was someone special. I only saw her a couple times after that but each time I felt drawn to her.
I met her daughters once at the store and they are 2 beautiful dolls. She was blessed to have you girls.
Good-bye Kathy see you again someday.

To Kathy's family,
We are so sorry for your loss. Please know that we thought so much of Kathy. Jeff enjoyed working with her on cases and really appreciated her loyalty, dedication to duty, and her friendship. Jennifer enjoyed socializing with Kathy and had a lot of fun with her when they went to Colorado a few years ago to a law enforcement conference. We will never forget Kathy and you all are in our thoughts and prayers. To Kathy: we loved you very much.

I am kathy's neighbor here in Grafton.
In the time that I knew Kathy we became good friends.
She was such a special person. Kathy was easy going, funny and loved the outdoors. I had such good times with her. she and i both loved to watch our dogs play togethe her golden retriever and my great dane were best buddies. we'd be sitting, watching the two clowns wrestle and we'd be laughing and having fun.
I will miss her greatly. She was a good person with a kind heart and always a smile even on the tough days.
Thank you Kathy for being my friend. Amy

My condolences to the family of Kathy. I can not imagine the pain felt after losing such a wonderful person. I had the great pleasure of working with Kathy in Grafton and I observed many personality traits about Kathy. The one that sticks out most for me was her great ability to place other people above herself. Kathy was one of the most unselfish people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing, and she will be missed. God Bless!!!

Condolences to Jill, Jade, and Laine,
I remember Steve as one of the great neighbors in both the trailer court and later Hill Ave N. He had a big heart and was always full of fun. He loved a good time and I really beleive he loved his family dearly even when he seemed far away from them.
I miss the relationships that were established in our neighborhood. My children couldn't have grown up in a better place and I believe Steve loved all the kids in our neighborhood very much.
I will never forget the fish house in the back yard, his little jeep going by my window to work, and the loving care he took of his yard.

This little email is to personally remember a few things i remember my dad doing really really well... he always made that when i was swinging, I was going really really high. He made sure that I, and my neighborhood friends had the biggest and fanciest lemonade stand and then he would be the 1st to come and buy a glass. When I stayed home from school, sick, he would come home on his lunch break and listen to ABBA with me for an hour. He always made sure that my bubble baths hade the biggest mountain of bubbles before I could jump into them. On Halloween, he made sure I hit every house in town whether I wanted to or not. He made sure that I knew how to fillet a fish, but he never made me put the worm on or take the fish off the hook cuz that was "icky". I don't know if I remember how to fillet a fish anymore, those memories happened a long time ago. My head has since been filled with lots of other memories, but I will always remember that, at one time in my life, my dad and I shared these things together.

As Steve's nephew, I enjoyed both the teasing and the under-the-table slipped candies that my parents didn't see. He always had a sly smile and a box full of bottle-rockets for his michievous nephew, who coincidentally possesed an itchy lighter-thumb. Spero che il sole restera sempre sulla schiena...
