Few people that we meet during our professional or personal lives leave such a lasting impression upon us. I expect that Kathy will be remembered by those who met her as one such person. We should all strive to be remembered in the same light as her.

Dear Friends and Family of Kathy,
I only knew Kathy for a little while but I would like you to know I thought she was an amazing woman. One thing I remember about her is her smile. She lit up the room when she smiled. She was truly an inspiration to all young women. I was very blessed to get to know her.
My deepest sympathy to all of you! You are in my thoughts and prayers and I will always remember Kathy for her kindness and smile.

The Pembina County Sheriff's Dept would like to express to Kathy's family that the work she did for us and the State of North Dakota was very much appreciated. She always was able to put a human view on every case she worked or every bit of advice she gave. She was always available to us. She was instrumental in the investigation and our recovery from our 2005 shooting and fire incident. There will be a huge void in our lives by her passing. As her family, you can take pride in the job that she did as a North Dakota Peace Officer and a person. Best Wishes.

My deepest sympathies to your family. I got to know Kathy through my work at Walsh County and had the pleasure of working in conjunction with her for about 3 years. I admired Kathy's work ethic and genuine compassion for those around her. She was very dedicated to her career and highly respected by her co-workers. I knew I could always go to Kathy with a question or a "tip" and she would do her best to "get the bad guy." Kathy's smile and sense of humor will be greatly missed. It was an honor to know and work with her.

We are so sorry about about your loss and wish there was something we could say or do to take away the pain. Kathy was such a soft spoken person and was always there when you needed her. We had some wonderful times together and I will always cherish those moments.
