The Stutsman Co. Sheriff's Dept. had the privilege of knowing Kathy and working with her through the Task Force and the Crime Bureau. She was a joy to have coffee with and listen to all her ventures in law enforcement. She will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

To the family of Kathy:
So many kind and wonderful things have been shared with you regarding Kathy and what was important in her life. Kathy not only spoke the "Oath" of a Law Enforcement Officer, she was a representative in her life style. Her dedication and willingness to go the extra mile was her way of life. Knowing Kathy as a professional makes me proud, knowing Kathy as a "true friend" makes me feel truly blessed! We shared many hours talking, exchanging ideas, frustrations, and moments of celebration. I am a better person because Kathy was my friend. Thank you, as a family, for sharing her with others and you are to be commended for your influence in developing the person she became. Family, friendships, and law enforcement were all very important to Kathy and she treated all with the utmost of respect and honor. I will miss my dear friend.

My deapest sympathy to the family and loved ones of Kathy Murray. I first met Kathy when she attended the North Dakota Law Enforcement Academy. I had the privilage of teaching her emergency vehicle Operations.
I have always looked forward to meeting her at different functions and especially at the North Dakota Peace Officer's Association. The entire Law Enforcement Community in North Dakota has suffered a great loss with her passing.
God gives each of us gifts and I will always remember Kathy for her gifts of dedication to her profession and the ever present, pleasant smile. I know the sadness I feel now is no where near what the Murray family is experiencing but please take comfort in God's promise in John 14 verse 1 to 6.
My life has been better for having known Kathy Murray.

We at the Grafton Police Department wish to convey our heartfelt sympathies to Kathy's family. Kathy was a part of our everyday family here at the Law Enforcement Center. We will miss her greatly. She was an asset to Law Enforcement throughout the state and a huge asset to us here in Grafton. As I said before she was a part of our family here and will be remembered always. We will miss her laugh and her positive attitude. Her leaving us will leave a huge void in our building.

Dear Wendy and family,
May comforting words, abundant prayers, inner strength and your fondest memories, help to ease the sadness and pain you endure at this time.
Your mother was beautifully memorialized as a selfless pioneer, touching many near and far, and one who shall leave her footprints and wisdom for years to come. Most sincere and heartfelt wishes, Joyce

The Walsh County Law Enforcement Center mourns the loss of a fallen star and the light will be eternally dimmer without the presence of Kathy Murray. Everyone in law enforcement knew her as the ultimate professional, willing to take on any challenge that confronted her, without a blink. But she was so much more..... a devoted mother, family member and friend.
Although she lost her battle with her illness, her courage and her spirit to overcome were never diminished. We are proud to have served with her and she will never be forgotten.
Our deepest sympathies to Marie, Maggie, her family, her friends.

On behalf of Special Olympics ND and the law enforcement community our condolences. Kathy was such a spark plug, a ton of fun and motivated all of us. Although its been a couple of years since she's been involved with the law enforcement torch run program we often referenced her passion when recruiting new law enforcement volunteers. Her and I shared alot of tears when Bill Broer left us and now we all will shed tears. While we all feel the pain of losing Kathy we won't be able to comprehend that of the family, but please find some peace in knowing that her time on Earth inspired so many people and made it a better place to live. Our thoughts and prayers.
