In Memory Of: Steve Rice

Steve was one heck of a guy. The world needs independent thinkers like him. A good citizen,fellow LSMA beach captain, board member and lover of "the Lakes" as a concept ,.i knew him as a valiant driving, story telling font of lake lore.
we would often chat on summer evenings when he was out for a walk and stopped to smoke and bs.
i think he remembered every car the Dillards ever owned.
i bought his 74 glastron a few years ago and am in the process restoring it...so I'm sure to think fondly of him from time to time.

Steve and Val were my next door neighbors at the lakes
Steve loved the lakes. I am so sad to hear of his passing. He was always the go to person if you wanted to know any history of lake Melissa.

Val, Jennifer and James: I can not begin to find the words to console you all. I just wanted to share with you my deep sadness and the LOVE that I truly had for Steve. He taught me so much first and foremost was the LOVE adoration that he had for the three of you. God Bless you all and God Speed to my friend Steve I will miss him dearly.

I have so many wonderful memories of my Grampa ... he was a strong and private man, yet had such a big heart. He taught me so much about life and a great deal of who I am today, is due to his words of wisdom and acts of kindness. I will miss him every day until we meet again, but I gain solace in knowing he is in a better place and is watching over me and my family from above.

In Memory Of: Ronnie Ellingson

We will miss Uncle Ronnie. I have so many memories of Uncle Ronnie when I was growing up and staying at Granny`s when he would sing and play his guitar. He would always make time for his nieces and nephews. His dog Snoopy would chase his tail forever and Ronnie would laugh at Snoopy. He always had a dog or bird around.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It is so hard to say goodbye to a mom (at any age!) My memories of Kate are of total sweetness. I still have the quilt she made for me when I was a baby... how special is that! There will be a huge void in your lives without her, but I pray you can fill it with sweet, loving memories and the comfort of knowing she is at peace in heaven.
