In Memory Of: Buzz Anderson

Comments:
God bless the Anderson family. Buzz was one of the nicest people I've ever met. I remember him from my childhood when my grandfather and my dad worked for him at the Phillips 66. He always had a smile and said hello to me when i was a small boy. I was honored to also work at the station in its last year of existence.
I also remember watching him play in the band and sing on Sunday at church. He was a good man and important member of the Grafton community and his church. God Bless.

In Memory Of: Edmund Gaarder

Comments:
My father was Earl Gaarder, who passed away on January 31, 2006. Ed was my Dad's best friend. They were cousins and neighbors.
I have so many wonderful memories of Ed and Earl. They visited daily - often several times a day. I loved listening to them discuss current events, politics, and farming. Both were intelligent, well-read and thoughtful men.
I always admired and respected Ed - as did everyone who knew him. He was completely honest. He worked hard. And he cared so much about his family, his community and his country.
My thoughts and prayers are with Ed's family. He will be missed and he'll never be forgotten.
Jim Gaarder

Comments:
Dear Dale and family,
When I heard of Leona's passing last night, the memories started flooding my mind. I especially remember the "giggle" spells that Leona, Lynae, my mom and I would get most often in the presence of Bertha!!
I also remember Leona and mom giving each other permanents. Leona was such a happy person and always had a smile on her face. We will miss her dearly. In these days of mourning, also celebrate all the wonderful memories that you will always cherish. See you Friday.
With heartfelt sympathy,
Shelly

In Memory Of: Joanie Slominski

Comments:
I ate alot of Joanie's cooking years ago. That was just one of the many good memories of being around the Slominski gang. They're a fun loving, and generous family. Joanie was a special person who worked very hard and took pride in what she did.
Thanks Joanie, for just being Joanie

Comments:
Before I met Joanie in person, I was aware of the Slominskis' going south every year to custom combine.
Even though comforts and conveniences have greatly improved over the years, I was amazed how this young family did it then, especially with small children.
Then I got the opportunity to meet Joanie and it was easier to understand how this remarkable woman did it.
Besides her cooking talents, she had the organizing skills of a CEO of a successful corporation. It was always a joy being in her presence, whether in the field or in town. She always had a wonderful disposition and a quick smile. I will always be reminded of that when I refer to her cookbook.
Our deepest sympathy to Joanie's family.
