In Memory Of: Thelma Anderson

I just learned of Aunt Thelma's passing on Thursday evening. Although not unexpected because she was so ill for so long, it is still a loss to the many family and friends who so loved her. I'm there tonight in prayer and thought as you gather at the funeral home....and will be tomorrow morning during her service. Wish I could be there in person to extend my hugs and caring and share in the memories of Mom's older sister and my God Mom. I'm in Indio, CA, however, having just arrived here yesterday and unable to come. I'm thankful that we got to spend time together at your home, Janice, with Thelma for possibly her last walleye fish fry just months ago. It's fitting that she passed away almost to the day a year later than Mom. I bet they are together in heaven enjoying their new bodies with no pain and rejoicing in the reunions with many other loved ones. We will see them again soon enough.... Love and hugs to you Janice and Johnny and all the rest of the family. Cousin Diane

To Louie and Family,
I am very sorry for the loss of Joanie from your daily lives, she was a remarkable woman in many ways.. However, live with the many memories of this great woman, wife, & mom and the many, many selfless and simple acts of kindness of which simply reflected the true class act she really was..
As the Wolfman said, there are many of us (harvest crew) who did not go hungry because of Joanie and really looked forwards to the arrival of the lunch wagon, not just because of the food, but the warm smile and kind words we would always get from Joanie too. Those memories will forever be with me..

When I was the Social Service Designee at St. Ansgar's Hospital (now First Care Health Center), she was the Ombudsman for the Swing Bed patients and their families.
