In Memory Of: Gunna Einarson
Comments: Dear Dorothy Ann, Evie and Linda..........I was so sad to read about Gunna's passing. So many wonderful memories: all the delicious home cooking --- those date filled cookies! and all the fun we had when she came to Neenah for Mom's 85th birthday. I don't have your addresses, but will send a memorial gift to the Gardar Pioneer Church. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.......Gunna was a very special lady. Last time we were in ND I stopped at Borg to see her.....she was playing Bingo. Love to all of you.........Marvel

Comments: I was so very sorry to hear of Marcella's passing. She was such a lovely and accomplished woman. I grew up close to the Melstad farm. Both Alvin and Marcella were so much fun to run into at a gathering. They never forgot someone they knew. My deepest sympathy goes out to her family. Marilyn (Fingarson) Beaton Fargo, ND

Comments: Jim: I was so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. Regardless of the situation, age etc. it is so hard to lose a parent. I lost my Dad over 14 years ago and it still is hard sometimes. Just wanted you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

In Memory Of: Marcie Melsted
Comments: I just learned of Marcie's passing and wanted to extend my sympathy to her family. I have very fond memories of going to her home with my mother for afternoon coffee when I was young. I loved looking at all her beautiful collections and she was such a gracious hostess. I also remember playing with Gretchen and Karen one summer when she brought them over to our house for a visit. Through the years when I would come home and see her in church, she was always interested in where I lived and what I was doing. She was a lovely and accomplished North Dakotan. I am so glad to have known her. Jan Myrdal MOrrell

Comments: We were so sorry to learn of Marcie's death. She was one of the most intelligent, interesting and active women I have ever met--a true advocate for the American Association of University Women. It was such fun to visit her home, and hear the history of her plates, plaques and awards that lined the walls. She lived a full life, and loved everything and everyone in it. She will be missed.

In Memory Of: Marcie Melsted
Comments: We were saddened to learn of Marcie's death. Please accept our sincere sympathy. I met Marcie as she and Alvin visited my uncles and aunt, Hannes, Kris, and Esther Melsted, and my mother, Elin Bjornson, on the family farm at Mountain. She was always so pleasant and a gracious hostess. Although my encounters with her were brief, it was like meeting an old friend whenever we had the chance to meet.

In Memory Of: Ernie Lien
Comments: Such a shock to learn about Ernie's passing. He lived right across the street from us and if anyone were able to "hand pick" a neighbor, it would be Ernie. Such a wonderful friend and neighbor he was! He always had time to visit and we will always remember his distinctive laugh and kind ways! We most definitely will miss Ernie here! We pray he made a safe journey to sit up in heaven with those who have gone before him. The Heavens are a brighter place now that you have entered there, Ernie! Rest in Peace our Dear, Dear Friend. You are truly missed!

In Memory Of: Ernie Lien
Comments: I met Ernie while working at Wil-Rich Inc. in Wahpeton. We became good friends for many years, thus leading into a relationship for six years after that. While we parted and went our separate ways, I always wished the best for him. His infamous dimples will hold a special place in my heart. My husband and I want to offer our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Ernie. "May God keep you in his loving care Ernie".

In Memory Of: Irene Peterson
Comments: I am the biological daughter of Don Knutson. I heard the aunt Irene passed away. I am sorry to say that I have only one memory of Irene. I remember meeting her when I was 17 years old. We met at the funeral of C. Knutson. I remember her inviting me to her house for a dinner after the service. She kept in touch with me for several years, however, eventually we lost contact. I am sorry that I wasn't able to establish a relationship with her and the rest of my biological family.
If any of the Knutson family members are interested in contacting me...Kristen Rios
