I am so sorry to hear of Mary's passing. I was her hairdresser in GF for many years and enjoyed her friendship during that time. We shared many stories of her family, whom she loved dearly. She will be missed by all who knew her. My sympathy is extended to all of her family.

I remember very fondly of the times I have spent with Dale. If you ever asked him who might have been related to you, he sure knew. I asked him something about Hoople during the Centennial and he came to my house with books galore, A very caring guy. My family will miss him as he always like to tease with my boys. Uncle Dale brought so many smiles and good memories to me. He was always fun to be with, blessed with a wonderful memory of my mom, his sister, and so many folks and happenings in Hoople. Uncle Dale was so special in so many ways. His long life gave him a chance to touch so many people and their hearts, so that we are all better for knowing him. I suspect he taught us more than he learned from us. If my mother, Marie Anderson Hartman, could, she would be at your side. Rest in peace Uncle Dale, you will be remembered.

I am sorry for the loss of your wife and mother, Mary. I could see that she was the hub of the wheel of your family and will be missed greatly. May your good memories carry you through and keep her close to you. It was a pleasure to have been able to be involved in her care during her illness. It is wonderful that she was able to spend time being with all of you this fall, and doing things that were important to her!

Dear Children and Grandchildren and Sisters, Alice and Laura! I was saddened to see in the paper this morning of Elaine's passing. I am a daughter of the late Charlotte Loen Newman and my Grandma was Aunt Johanna who enjoyed going to Auburn to visit her sister Emma and all her children and grandchildren. It was an event we always looked forward to- - to see all our North Dakota cousins. Elaine was a very special lady and know that my prayers are with you all in this time of sorrow.
