To the family of Mabel,
I was saddened to hear that your mother passed away. Another one of that generation gone from our midst. Erling, Mabel, Sigred and Henry Egland were names that kind of went together as I grew up. I have many good memories of Mabel and the rest of you. Before the days of school buses when we shared rides to school etc. No mater how young or old a parent is when they die they are missed dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Janet and family:
We were so saddened to hear of Jerom's passing. I know thru the years we have always kept contact and when I think of Fairdale, I always think of you.
It was so thoughtful of both of you to come to our 50th last summer in Devils Lake. It was always fun to reminice with both of you. And of course I remember how nice it was of you , Janet. to tell the little story of your grandmother delivering me. That was a little fact I had never known.
I sure remember going tru high school with you and Jerome. Jerome and I played alot of basketball together. He was such a good guy. Everyone liked and respected him. He'll be greatly missed - like a wall has been taken out of your and our lives.
I sure want to say best wishes. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Hi Rene,
I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad's passing but know that he is in a wonderful place with your mother again. It's strange how we're guided...I was just surfing the web and put your name in Google and stumbled across this site. Tell Jane 'hi' and email me sometime.
Love and prayers,
Lynda

In Memory Of: Ella Flom

Comments:
I am planning to come to the funeral service but the weather is not good and I may not make it so will post a note here. I will always have fond memories of visiting aunt Ella and Torjus in Thief River Falls and latter at her home in Grafton. I am sad to hear of her passing although not unexpected. She had a good long life and brought joy to many people through out her life. I appreciate all of the work that she did to preserve some of the family history.
May her memory be a blessing to us all.

In Memory Of: Ella J. Flom

Comments:
Our thoughts and prayers are with all the family members of Aunt Ella. She was someone special. Even though we didn't see them often during the year because they lived, what we called then, so far away. My brother and two sisters and I were always excited to see them come. We all talked about the ugly Studebaker car they drove, only one seat and their luggage in the compartment behind the seat. If we knew then what we know today, that car would be beautiful. We are saddened that God called her home but we know that she is in a better place with no pain or suffering. And, I know that Torjus and her brothers and sisters welcomed her home in Heaven. What a grand place for a reunion.

Our dear aunt Ella. You have passed from this life to your eternal home with Jesus and your very beloved husband Torjus. You were such a special aunt - bringing us treats when you came to visit, 10 dimes in our birthday cards until we turned 12, and such a sweet loving spirit that even as kids we noticed. You lived your life well and have been a great example to us. I'm sure when you entered heaven you heard the words "Well done, thou good and faithful servant". Our sympathy to Ella's family. We will not be able to be at the funeral as we have a commitment to stay with grandchildren for a few days.

You are in our thoughts and prayers, particularly today, Feb.22, 2007. It appears you have many precious memories of your Dad and Mom as well as the family members in ND. Keep looking up and may God grant peace and strength for each day. One day at a time.
Trust your weather in the north land was good for the funeral. We had lots of northerly winds here in Milwaukee today.

He was a wonderful man with many people that cared for him! I will forever remember his "sunhat" and his pick-up coming out of freshly combined fields throughout the fall months. Good bye for now, you will be missed!
